What this site collects

The only personal information this website collects is what you type into the inquiry form and submit voluntarily. That form asks for your name, your email address, your telephone number if you choose to give it, the general subject of your inquiry, and any message you write. Nothing on this site collects personal information passively.

This site does not use cookies. It does not use analytics software, advertising pixels, session recording, heat mapping, remarketing tags, or any other tracking technology. It does not build a profile of you, and it does not follow you to other websites. No account is created and no login exists.

What happens to what you send

Inquiries are used for one purpose: to evaluate whether the firm can assist you and to reply to you. Your information is not sold, rented, traded, or shared for anyone else's marketing, and it never will be. This firm does not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in California privacy law.

Inquiries are received and stored using ordinary business email and, where an engagement follows, the firm's client file systems. If you do not become a client, your inquiry is retained only as long as needed to complete a conflicts check and to document that the firm declined the matter, and is then deleted.

Third parties that may receive information

The firm does not share your personal information with third parties except in the limited circumstances described here. The website itself involves two technical providers. The site is hosted by a commercial web hosting provider, which necessarily processes server request logs. Typography on this site is served by Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address in the course of delivering them. Neither of these providers receives the contents of your inquiry.

If the inquiry form is configured to deliver through a form processing service, that service acts as a service provider and transmits your submission to the firm. It is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes.

Beyond this, information may be disclosed only where the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, and then only to the extent the firm's duties of confidentiality and the attorney-client privilege permit.

Third-party tracking across sites

No third party collects personally identifiable information about your online activities over time and across different websites through this website. There are no advertising networks, social media trackers, or behavioral advertising partners operating on this site.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers transmit a Do Not Track signal. Because this website performs no tracking of any kind, there is nothing for such a signal to disable, and the site behaves identically whether or not one is sent. The firm does not permit third parties to collect personally identifiable information about your activities across other websites through this site.

Reviewing, correcting, or deleting your information

You may ask what personal information the firm holds about you from this website, ask that it be corrected, or ask that it be deleted. Write to inquiries@deitrichprivateclient.com or call (949) 674-9230, and the firm will respond within a reasonable period. No fee is charged and you will not be treated differently for asking.

One limit applies. Where information forms part of a client file or is subject to the firm's professional obligations, records retention duties under the California Rules of Professional Conduct may require the firm to retain it notwithstanding a deletion request. The firm will tell you if that is the case.

Confidentiality and privilege

Please read this paragraph carefully. Sending an inquiry through this website does not create an attorney-client relationship and does not, on its own, make what you send privileged. Until the firm has run a conflicts check and confirmed an engagement in writing, treat anything you send as potentially unprotected, and keep it general. Do not send account numbers, identification numbers, medical information, or the details of a dispute through this form. Once an engagement is confirmed, secure channels are provided.

Children

This website is directed to adults and is not intended for anyone under sixteen. The firm does not knowingly collect personal information from minors through this site.

Security

This site is served over an encrypted connection. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, which is the reason for the caution above about what not to send.

Links to other sites

This site does not link to third-party websites. If such a link is added later, then once you follow a link away from this site the practices of the site you land on govern, and this policy no longer applies.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and the change will be noted here for at least thirty days. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the version in force. Continuing to use the site after a change means the revised policy applies.

This policy is provided in accordance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act, California Business and Professions Code sections 22575 through 22579. Based on its size and its practices, the firm is not a covered business under the California Consumer Privacy Act. The firm nonetheless does not sell or share personal information, honors requests to access and delete, and does not discriminate against anyone who exercises a privacy right.
